GOOD SPIRITED
BACARDÍ's Good Spirited sustainability programme is our commitment to doing business in a way that is good for people and good for the planet. We believe that the best rum comes from a healthy, thriving world — and that we have a responsibility to protect it.
BIODIVERSITY
We are committed to protecting and restoring the natural ecosystems that make our rum possible — from native plant nurseries at our Puerto Rico distillery to regenerative agriculture in our sugarcane supply chain.
WATER STEWARDSHIP
Water is the most precious resource in rum production. BACARDÍ has reduced water consumption by 30% since 2017 and is committed to becoming water positive by 2030.
CLIMATE ACTION
We have committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our operations by 2040, with a 50% reduction by 2030 against our 2017 baseline.
RESPONSIBLE DRINKING
BACARDÍ has been a pioneer in responsible drinking messaging since the 1980s. We invest millions each year in campaigns promoting responsible consumption and never drinking and driving.
COMMUNITY
From supporting communities in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria to investing in local education and healthcare, BACARDÍ is committed to being a positive force in every community where we operate.
PACKAGING
We are committed to making 100% of our packaging recyclable, reusable or compostable by 2030. We have already eliminated single-use plastic from all our primary packaging.
