150+

BACARDÍ's commitment to quality has been recognised by the world's most prestigious competitions since the very beginning. In 1876, just 14 years after the company was founded, BACARDÍ won its first international award at the Philadelphia International Exposition.
Since then, BACARDÍ has accumulated more awards than any other rum brand in history. The company has been bestowed the Spanish Royal Warrant — the right to display the Spanish Coat of Arms on its bottles — a recognition of exceptional quality that has been maintained for over a century.
Today, BACARDÍ rums regularly win top honours at the International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC), the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the International Rum Conference and the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.
BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho has won more awards than any other aged rum in history. BACARDÍ Gran Reserva Limitada has received the highest scores ever awarded to a rum at multiple international competitions.
But for BACARDÍ, awards are not the goal — they are a consequence of the relentless pursuit of quality that Don Facundo Bacardí Massó instilled in the company in 1862.
"Winning awards is a consequence of the relentless pursuit of quality. Don Facundo did not set out to win the Philadelphia Exposition in 1876 — he set out to make the best rum in the world. The awards followed."
